Marie, the owner of The Cutting Edge Hair Design has been a hairstylist for over 20 years. She knew early on that doing hair was her passion. She’s certified with many of the top hair industry companies and is constantly receiving continuing education on the latest trends and techniques, so she can offer her clients the very best. She loves helping others and making people feel good about themselves. Since she was born and raised in Commack, Marie makes sure she gives back to the local community. Her personal belief is that “You can’t go wrong when you put goodness out into the world." Although she thinks long hair styles are beautiful, she has the most fun doing short, textured haircuts. “I love the challenge of making a short haircut feminine and sexy. My short cut clients are the ones who get stopped and asked where they get their hair done!”

Marie is a certified Ouidad Curly Hair Expert, Gray Blending Specialist and Babe Hair Extension Certified.

Jules, a Senior Stylist and our Salon Manager has been on The Cutting Edge Team for the past 4 years. She is passionate about continuing her education in the latest trends and products and is certified in Magic Sleek, Brazilian Blowout, Lasio Keratin and Extensions. Jules is also one of the few Ouidad Curly Cut certified stylists on Long Island. Her patience, warm personality and ability to listen to what a client wants allow her to create a perfect masterpiece customized to each of her clients, making sure they leave her chair looking and feeling their best.

Junior Stylist

Deanna has always had a passion for the beauty industry and knew from an early age that this was her calling. She became a licensed hairstylist at 19, starting as an assistant and working her way up through dedication and hard work. In addition to hairstyling, Deanna expanded her expertise by attending NYIB, where she earned her makeup license with a specialization in bridal makeup. She loves helping others feel confident and beautiful, and she takes pride in using her skills to enhance her clients' natural beauty. Deanna is excited to share her creativity and make every client’s experience a positive one.

Passionate about her craft, Raymi takes great pride in maintaining the health and integrity of her clients' hair while delivering stunning results. Her top priority is ensuring every client leaves her chair feeling confident and satisfied. As a talented artist on The Cutting Edge Hair Design team, she brings her expertise and creativity to every appointment.

Julia

Apprentice

Julia Siobhan is a proud graduate of the Long Island High School for the Arts (LIHSA) and was inducted into The National Technological Honor Society at Wilson Tech (Cosmetology). She is a licensed cosmetologist whose lifelong passion has been visual arts, makeup and beauty since an early age. She is a new apprentice who has already taken a Sugarlash PRO eyelash extension course and has certifications in Hair Extension Application, MAC Makeup and Makeup on Mature Skin. Julia’s strengths include paying attention to fine detail, being devoted to helping build people’s confidence and express their authenticity through beauty, a high emotional IQ and a keen sensitivity to the needs of the individual client, including special needs, if any.
